Food Vendor Application

This year’s 2026 Land of the Loon Festival marks our 48th Anniversary Celebration. We are the largest ethnic festival in northeastern Minnesota and pride ourselves on the quality and variety of ethnic arts, crafts, foods, and entertainment that we provide to those attending the festival. Our By-Laws Outline the rules for food vendors as stated below:

By Law: ARTICLE XI – Section 2 – Food Entries

  1. The maximum number of food booths at the Festival shall be determined by the governing board.
  2. Non-profit organizations shall be given priority over private individuals.
  3. All food items sold should be ethnic in origin.
  4. No repetition of any food item is permitted without approval of the Festival Board of Directors.
  5. No advertising of a product or a business is allowed inside/outside by any food booth occupant.
  6. If rules are not followed, booth entrants will not be allowed to return. g. The Land of the Loon Board of Directors has priority over food items for fundraising purposes.
  7. No refunds will be given after May 15, 2026.

Without giving prior notice to the committee, no shows will not be invited back.

Fees:

  • Local Service Organization – $250 fee
  • Other Booths – $350 fee (booth sizes are approximately 10’ wide x 12’ deep)
All vendors must follow local and state health regulations as well as electrical and plumbing codes. The food committee reserves the right to remove any booth from the Festival that is not following necessary codes or regulations.

Rules:

  • Any vendor exceeding the above dimensions must receive approval by the Festival committee and may be charged asa double booth at twice the fee. This does not include those booths which are housed within a building, if everything is within the building.
  • There will be NO PARKING allowed in the Park.
  • You must complete the Electrical Equipment Form and return it with your application. If you exceed the amount of power you have applied for, you may be asked to leave.
  • The GREEN STEEL PICNIC TABLES IN THE PARK HAVE BEEN PURCHASED BY THE LAND OF THE LOON COMMITTEE for the purpose of providing places to sit throughout the park for those attending the Festival. Food booths must provide their own seating arrangements.
  • Vendors must be present during all Festival hours both days.

Festival Hours: Security: Saturday – 10 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Sunday – 10 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
Security: Professional security is provided both Friday and Saturday nights.
