Parade Entries
RULES:
Deadline for entry is FRIDAY, June 12, 2026. However, you are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Please complete the Parade Entry application form below.
All applications will be reviewed by the Land of the Loon Festival Committee. Decisions of the committee are final.
PACE OF UNITS: No entry or routine will be allowed to slow or stop the forward progress of the parade.
SAFETY:
- All participants must act in a safe and responsible manner.
- The consumption of alcoholic beverages by participants prior to or during the parade is prohibited.
- Throwing any items (i.e. candy, trinkets, stickers, etc.) from entries is prohibited. However, the physical handout and distribution of candy by participants IS ALLOWED and ENCOURAGED. All candy must be in original wrappers.
- Any entry carrying heaters, cookers, grills, power plants, generators, fuels, or easily combustible materials shall be required to carry a fire extinguisher.
CHILDREN:
- Any entry comprised of or containing children must be accompanied by a supervising adult. The person(s) accompanying the children shall be responsible for their safety as well as maintaining the required pace.
UNITS AND ACTIVITIES NOT PERMITTED:
- Entries representing controversial groups or political issues
- Entries that cannot keep pace
- Entries that are indecent or immoral
- Entries that are significantly different than described on their application
- Entries with participants that are under the influence of, or consuming alcohol or drugs
VIOLATIONS: Any entry or participant that violates any of the aforementioned rules and regulations may be subject to immediate disqualification and removal from the parade.
SCHEDULE:
- Line Up: 7:30 A.M. – East end of Chestnut Street
- Parade Starts: 9:00 A.M.
THE ACCEPTANCE, ASSIGNMENT, AND NUMBER OF ENTRIES IN THE PARADE ARE AT THE SOLE DISCRETION OF THE LAND OF THE LOON FESTIVAL COMMITTEE AND THE DECISIONS OF THE COMMITTEE ARE FINAL. The committee will not be responsible for injuries or property lost, stolen, or damaged. You participate at your own risk.
